TIME TOWER

Conceived specifically for the heart of the “Avenue of the Century” in the Pudong district of Shangai, in collaboration with EPAD architects and ARTE Charpentier.

The artist’s concept was to create a signal whose scale would be appropriate to this monumental district and the huge city. He designed 4 linear clocks on a glass tower 90 m. high. A laser beam, used as an extension to the gnomon located at the top of the tower, provides a connection between the scale of the tower to the rest of the city.
