Blue Ring Clock — luminous crystal time sculpture

Blue Ring Clock is a luminous crystal sculpture in which time becomes light.

Twelve stationary blue points of light mark the hours. Two hands of white light indicate the hours and minutes, while a point of light tirelessly traces the circle, keeping pace with the seconds.

The sculpted, polished crystal captures and diffuses the light, transforming the measurement of time into a luminous presence in perpetual motion.

The soothing contemplation of this piece of art feeds our gaze and our mind.

The ring—a perfect geometric form—evokes the absolute and the infinite. For me, it represents an inexhaustible subject of exploration. Here, it has taken shape in crystal, thanks to my meeting with master glassmaker Georges Stahl.
